History of BCC
An Historical Perspective
God has brought Bethel Community Church a great distance in our 51 ½ years of being chartered with the Pentecostal Church of God. We have a rich heritage that has taken us down the road of righteousness and established the ministry of our church in the city of Los Banos. So many things have happened since Rev. Houston Harris started our church in 1958. After his retirement in 1995, God allowed us to move forward once again, this time under the leadership of our Pastor, Rev. Stephen Hammond. We are now worshipping in our current building at 415 I St. in Los Banos. God has opened many doors for us in our city in the last two years. We have joined forces with the Los Banos Rescue Mission to feed the hungry and meet the needs of our city. We have also joined together with the Community Resource Council, to work with the many agencies in our city and county to alleviate the needs and problems of our city. We have a congregation who have a heart for God and a heart to work. We embrace the greatness of our tremendous heritage as we live to serve our God and our city in a modern and relevant way. We continue to move forward as we appreciate our past and live for our bright future.
